How to Access the VPN Portal For new users, follow these 5 easy step-by-step instructions to access the SJI Guest VPN. When you are ready to access your own gin's Mirror readings via a VPN, you should follow the same instructions, but first you must go to the Access Gin VPNs page and click the login link that corresponds to your gin. 0. If this is your first time connecting to a gin through MoistureMirror.com using Internet Explorer, you'll need to check your security settings. If you're using Mozilla Firefox, or have successfully connected to a gin before, you can skip to step 1. In this window, go to 'Tools' then 'Internet Options.'
Next, click the 'Security' tab and then click the picture for 'Internet.' Click the button below that reads 'Custom Level...'
Scroll down to find 'Download Unsigned ActiveX Controls' and make sure that 'Prompt' is selected.
Click 'OK' to save the changes close the two open windows. Close all Internet Explorer windows, restart Internet Explorer and come back here to start with Step 1. 1. Begin by clicking the Guest Login link at the top of this page.
If you receive a screen stating that there are security problems, click Continue to this website.
2. After clicking Continue, a Netgear window should open. Enter the guest username ("mirror") and password ("guest") into the respective boxes, and click Login. If you receive a message that says your user login failed, make sure your caps lock is off and try again.
3. Now, click the icon to connect you via the VPN tunnel. Remember: You must keep this Netgear page open in order to stay connected as you view readings from your Mirror's screen!
The following window will appear to tell you when you are connected. A small icon should also appear in the bottom right corner of your monitor.
4. Now, go to the top of this page to click on one of the "Moisture Mirror" links...
You are now viewing an up-to-date reading of a Moisture Mirror at SJI!
5. When you are ready to disconnect from the VPN, right click on the VPN Tunnel icon at the bottom right corner of your monitor, and select Disconnect VPN Tunnel, or simply close out of the Netgear window.
